A Christmas Carol

Christmas Past

 

As a new design for a production that is

remounted every year, this garment needed to be

built with alterability in mind.  The designer did not

want to see the seams, so I built the robe with

large French seams in the bodice section of the

side seams (highlighted in orange below).  I then

appliquéd the skirt sections (highlighted in pink

below), the front darts, and the sleeve seams so they

would disappear into the pattern of the lace.
